I started out wanting to make a card with this set in Calypso Coral and Pool Party (I LOVE that color combo)… but as sometimes happens, I ended up with something completely different!
I started out with the Memento Ink, and then colored in my flowers with Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils. You can see in the picture it was a pretty quick color job, which really works well with the pencils. I like leaving some white spaces because it adds a lot of dimension once it’s blended with the Blender Pen.
These watercolor pencils are SO fun! Fast and rich, and practically magic when you combine them with a swipe of the Blender Pen. They just blend together so beautifully and make any card look professional!
Because I decided that I didn’t love the black branches, I cut out the roses with the coordinating Petals And More thinlit dies, and glued them to a new card front in Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped the branches in Pear Pizzazz, and stamped and cut my sentiment using Calypso Coral, the Stitched Shapes Framelit dies, and Calypso Coral paper and a 2″ punch for the base.
I felt like it was still missing something, so I cut apart a Pear Pizzaz thinlit branch and glued that onto the card front with a little Multi Purpose Glue. (Tip: add a dab of glue to a silicone sheet and use a cut up sponge to dab the glue on the back of detailed dies.)
Card Base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 card base in Calypso Coral scored or folded in half. Card Front: 4×5 1/4 in Whisper White.
